         The Bimmers are beaming bright due to Chris Bangle. Aesthetics meeting Convenience meeting Technology meeting Nature is the essential concept behind the event. Work with the latest technology and create your design from scratch. Here is the event for you to prove your talent as a budding automotive stylist.This event builds on the success it had last year. More than 50 teams participated last year. This year more are expected.

Nowadays, with all Automobiles attaining a level of Motoring perfection, how can we make each car stand out from the crowd? Well, make it look stunning! What else! So can you develop a design which has the tendency to sell like hot cakes just because it looks good? Its time to pick up your pencils and come up with wacky designs!

Because auto style at Kurukshetra is back!


The event will be conducted in 3 stages.

  • First stage will involve teaching the Participants on the various Sketching techniques.
  • Second stage will involve the participants actually sketching their designs according to the problem statement.
  • The respective judges will rate the designs.




  • Not more than 3 and a minimum of 2 contestants per team. Teams will have to register online
  • The event involves only pencil sketching.
  • All the required Stationary - different grades of pencil,sharpener,eraser,scale,drawing sheets etc.. will be provided.
  • Imitation is the cheapest form of flattery, so no imitating the design of the cars outside.

  • But the participants can use the designs of cars produced, only as a reference.
  • No exact replica will be allowed.
  • Auto Style doesnt just mean designing a vehicle's exteriors.The problem statement may even ask you to design interiors,Re-Style an old vehcle,Modify an existing design etc...Expect the wildest kind of problem statement.
  • Judges' decision shall be final and binding.


The design shall be judged on the basis of:

  • Aesthetics
  • Originality
  • Intricacy of Design
  • Ease of Manufacturing/Cost of production
  • Last but not the least : Relevance to the Indian environment



1. Is it compulsory to attend session 1?
       Yes.The problem statement may require you to  sketch your design  in the required views.These techniques will be taught in the First session.

2.What will the lecture be on?
       It will be on the hot trends on automobile design and will provide pointers on how to  proceed   with pencil sketching for session 2.

3. Will we be asked to design cars only?

     No. You may be asked to design the interiors or exteriors and various other things etc

4. Will colours be provided?

     No.Only pencil sketching is allowed
